Are you trying to lock or unlock your Modem? It is possible and very easy. You don’t have to pay anyone. You can do it yourself by following these few steps. This method is valid for all Huawei USB 3G/HSDPA modals.

The first step is to find the unlock code for your modem. Each Huawei Modem has a unique unlock code. The unlock code is derived from the IMEI number of the modem. Therefore you need to get your IMEI number.
The IMEI number has 15 digits. Usually this number is stated on your modem. You can also find this from your Mobile Partner software.
Cick Tools -> Diagnostics

Copy the IMEI number. Let’s assume the number is 537823464289036.
Now to find the unlock code, simply open your favorite browser and enter the following url

The unlock code is stated in this page. According to our example, the unlock code is 47056369.
Step 2: Unlocking the Modem
If your Mobile Partner software asks you for the unlock code simply enter the code you just found. That should unlock the modem for you.
If it doesn’t ask for the unlock code, follow these steps.
Connect your modem to the computer.
Exit from Mobile Partner if it is running.
Go to settings -> control panel -> system -> hardware -> device manager

Now, expand the ports node in the tree view and note the COM port of HUAWEI Mobile Connect – 3G PC UI Interface.
In our example, it is COM4.
Next go to programs -> accessories -> communications -> Hyperteminal

Now type the AT command. If you settings are correct, you should get the OK message as shown in the figure. Next enter AT^CARDLOCK=”########” where ######## is the unlock code we found earlier. According to our example enterAT^CARDLOCK=”47056369”
You will receive the message ^CARDLOCK 2,10,0
Now the unlocking is complete. You may use your modem as you like with any network.
